Guidance and career transition

Professional dancers have neither a trainer, nor do they have a manager.
They alone are in charge of their careers.

“The professional regime is one where you work to earn your keep,
whereas the vocational regime is one where you earn money

On average, a dancer’s performance career lasts 15 years.

Dance is a profession that requires demanding training and a vocation
that involves the whole being, which is driven by an intimate necessity.

ACTIVE MEMBER
Any person interested in dance and the dance profession can become an active member of the RDP. In this way he/she provides the association with his/her support as well as to dancers in their professional capacity and in their career transition.
The RDP offers to its active members the possibility to participate in the Conference- Meetings and other events organised by the association free of charge as well as an annual report on its activities.
Annual membership fees for active members: CHF 70.-

COLLECTIVE MEMBER
Any dance company, dance school or association can become a collective member.
The RDP offers to its collective members a presentation of the career of dancer and its specificities within their structure as well as free participation in the Conference-Meetings and other events organised by the association. The RDP provides them with an annual report of its activities.
Annual membership fees for collective members: CHF 100.-

DANCER
Active dancers or dancers undergoing professional training are invited to become a member of the association.
The RDP offers dancers individual meetings for advice and information and possible access to the other services depending on their situation and their needs. The RDP invites them to the Conference-Meetings and other events organised by the association.
Annual membership fees for professional or pre-professional dancers: CHF 30.-
